Take It One Day at A Time

Let’s say we were able to tick off more than one of the indicators of toxic productivity. Now, here comes the important question, how do we stay productive without being toxic?

Key Points to Breaking the Cycle

Before we start off, let’s put some reminders. Breaking the cycle is difficult, but not impossible. You shouldn’t invalidate your progress because there was one day you felt like you had toxic productivity. It is a journey, and trust me when I say I’m in it with you!

Balance and Integration

It is easier said than done. But we can do it! You can achieve that work-life balance by delegating tasks and responsibilities rather than just doing it by yourself. We need to remember that we’re not superheroes, and we can’t do everything. We’re human, and with that, we have our own strengths and weaknesses. With that being said, we need days where we stop and truly recharge.

A little tip is to ensure we have time for ourselves in our daily routine and that we plot a day in our week. This will help us integrate balance in our lives that we can actually maintain. Ensuring that we do this consistently is the key to actually integrating this into our lifestyles. In turn, you will stop feeling guilty for taking time out for yourself.

You can also start out slowly, maybe just schedule a break-in or treat yourself to a nice lunch out!

Set Boundaries

Setting boundaries will free up time for yourself and your loved ones! Being able to do this will help you set more time with friends and family and even work on the things you love to do. That could be painting, reading or even cooking!

Keep Your Eyes Open

One way to still be productive is to set goals for yourself. An important factor to keep in mind is that they are achievable goals! This is especially vital for our daily tasks that we want to accomplish.

It is also important to keep your eyes open for new opportunities. If you don’t like following plans, that’s totally okay! Things don’t always work our way, so it’s important that we learn from mistakes and are adaptable.

Be Kind To Yourself

So, let’s take beating toxic productivity, and it’s cycle one day at a time
